Combat Flip Flops | Social
Bad for running.
Worse for fighting.
Taking a start-up from a garage in Washington all the way to ABC’s Shark Tank.
Combat Flip Flops was started by two former Army Rangers in 2011, Combat Flip Flops has spent the last 8 years becoming a legitimate lifestyle brand. Its mission? To create peaceful, forward-thinking opportunities for self-determined entrepreneurs affected by conflict in Afghanistan, Colombia, Laos and here in the United States.
Building a consistent visual style and messaging direction.
Since early 2012, I worked closely with CFF co-founders Matthew Griffin and Donald Lee to help establish the brand voice, tone and to build the company’s social influence. Until the end of 2016, I managed their social platforms, blog, email content and marketing campaign strategy development.
HIGHLIGHTS:
Created a comprehensive campaign to promote the airing of Shark Tank, which contributed to 400% company growth in 2016.
After the episode aired, we earned over 10,000 new likes (unpaid) and 6,421,484 organic impressions.
Leveraged social media to help create the first fully-funded crowdfunding campaign on Vetlaunch.com and exceeded goal by 114%.

LOVE MY AKS ALREADY
”I felt so moved to order a pair of the AK-47s after watching Shark Tank and received my flip flops earlier this week. I can tell you already that these flip flops are the real deal—they are beautifully designed and you can smell the quality of the leather upon opening the box.””
