Sling TV | How to Watch Locals
Unlike other live TV streaming services, Sling TV doesn’t offer local channels like FOX, ABC, NBC, PBS and more in every market. So to supplement their lineup, Sling TV encourages their current customers to make a one-time over-the-air (OTA) antenna purchase. This allows these customers to get their local channels for FREE.
As OTA was becoming a bigger part of Sling’s overall strategy and differentiator, they wanted us to create a House Ad.
The goal was twofold:
Reinforce people’s antenna purchases
Encourage users to go buy an antenna if they haven’t already
My job? To reinforce why Sling and an OTA is the perfect combination. I wrote the script and outlined a visual direction that would be ownable for the OTA segment of Sling TV’s brand. We subsequently used this visual style of multiple emails, display ads and landing pages.
